Erin Russell started her legal career in 2004 in Atlanta, Georgia working for large law firms representing major transportation and manufacturing clients. The experience working for some of the most talented attorneys in these fields was invaluable. However, representing big corporations who could afford many, many attorneys in litigation over truck crashes and product liability claims wasn't Erin's true calling. She was always interested in emerging technologies and intellectual property issues. As she watched as technology was changing the arts and vice versa. She became eager to start her own practice. One in which she could cultivate her interest in arts and technology and represent individual clients on a more personal basis.
The Russell Firm opened in 2009. Since then, Erin Russell has represented thousands of BitTorrent subpoena and copyright infringement targets in cases across America. She defended more than 100 people in the fraudulent copyright litigation scheme perpetrated by Prenda Law and its principals, and obtained a $500,000 judgment against Prenda in its wrongful defamation case brought against some of its victims.
